Jeffrey Karelis
Partner Emeritus
Jeff retired in 2020 after 51 years as a financial consultant but still keeps his "head in the game" by closely following the markets and economy for his own personal enjoyment.
After graduating from the University of New Hampshire in 1969, Jeff began his career with Investors Diversified Services, where he was a sole practitioner until 1993, when he and Matt Sliwa founded Karelis, Sliwa & Associates, later to become Karelis, Sliwa & Porter.
In January 2006, the firm changed its name to KSP Financial Consultants and simultaneously changed its broker/dealer affiliation to Commonwealth Financial Network®. Jeff was a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® practitioner, a Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®), and an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®). His specialties included protection planning, retirement planning, and estate planning. He held FINRA Series 1, 24, 63, and 65 securities registrations through Commonwealth Financial Network and was a member of the Financial Planning Association and Society of Financial Service Professionals.
Jeff has been married to Joanie since 1974. They have two children. Andrew is a partner with KSP Financial, and Emily is a real estate attorney. Jeff's interests include movies, golf, reading, travel, and spending time with his four grandchildren, Ari, Lexi, Ben, and Ava.
