Matthew J. Sliwa III, CFP®, CFA

Partner

Matt has spent more than 25 years of experience as a consultant in the financial services industry. After receiving a degree in economics from Harvard University, Matt, along with Jeff Karelis, founded Karelis, Sliwa & Associates, a firm focused on the financial planning, asset management, and protection needs of executives, professionals, pre-retirees, and retirees. With the addition of partner Ted Porter and other team members, the firm evolved to become today's KSP Financial Consultants.

Matt's primary duties are creating and implementing financial plans and investment portfolios for his clients. He also heads the firm's investment research initiatives and is responsible for determining the firm's overall recommendations for asset allocation and tactical investment shifts. Matt is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) practitioner and has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation. He is a member of the CFA Institute, and Boston Security Analysts Society and also holds the FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, and 65 securities registrations through Commonwealth Financial Network. In both 2013 and 2015, Matt was named to the Financial Times 400 Top Advisors list*.

Matt and his wife, Christina, reside in Newton with their three children. They are actively involved with charitable organizations representing disadvantaged children, education, and faith. Matt is a co-chair for his class gift committee at Harvard and serves on the Board of Directors for The Home for Little Wanderers as Chair of the Finance, Investment and Real Estate Committee.  Outside of business, Matt’s hobbies include playing hockey, coaching hockey, traveling, reading and spending time with family.

Corrine Sonia

Financial Planning Associate

Corrine joined KSP Financial Consultants in May 2007. Since then, she has received her FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 securities registrations. Her main responsibilities include trading, asset transfers and rollovers, preparing for client meetings, and client service.

Prior to joining the firm, Corrine worked in the health care industry as an office manager. She attended Suffolk University for undergraduate studies and in 2006 received her MBA from Bentley University. Corrine lives in Framingham with her husband, Michael, and daughters, Lexie and Haley.  She most enjoys doing anything and everything with family and friends. In her spare time, she enjoys entertaining, cooking, and traveling. 

Varicia Vanterpool

Front Desk Client Services Specialist

Varicia joined KSP Financial Consultants in April 2016. Her main responsibilities include managing the front desk area, client and office services and advisor support.

Prior to joining KSP Financial Consultants, Varicia worked in the veterinary medicine industry as a veterinary technician. She attended the University of Connecticut and in 2008 received her BS in Environmental Science. Originally from New York, Varicia currently lives in Arlington and enjoys exploring the outdoors and spending time with friends.

Robert J. Zdanis, EA

Operations Manager

A graduate of Northeastern University, Robert first worked at American Express Financial Advisors in January 1990. He teamed up with what was then Karelis, Sliwa & Associates in November of 1995. During his tenure at KSP Financial Consultants, Robert has transitioned through several roles, including that of financial plans specialist, client services liaison, and operations manager. He holds his Series 7 and 63 FINRA registrations through Commonwealth Financial Network®.

Robert is also an Enrolled Agent and as such has been admitted to practice before the Internal Revenue Service.

Originally from Venezuela, Robert, has made Massachusetts his home away from home. He, his wife, Christina and their daughter, Arielle enjoy a serene country setting in the town of Upton. They also enjoy traveling and time spent with family and friends. Robert's leisurely interests include playing soccer with Arielle, cooking, photography and building PCs.
